I uploaded this again as a show to Google Docs.

I uploaded my Jeopardy presentation to Google Docs and then selected to download presentation as a PDF. Then, I re uploaded the PDF version to Google Docs.

I selected material for Jeopardy content which would support the Md 7th grade Content Standards for Geography since a number of our younger committed youth did not advance beyond middle school and are taking geography. Specifically the Jeopardy is designed to reinforce geographic content focusing on the US and Canada and best supports the following Standards, Topics, Indicators and Objectives:

Standard- Students will use geographic concepts and processes to examine the role of culture, technology and the environment in the location and distribution of human activities and spatial connections.

Topics- Geographic characteristics of place and region.
Indicator- Analyze interrelationships among physical and human characteristics that shape the identity of places and regions. (In this lesson US and Canada)
Objectives- 1.Identify and describe physical characteristics that influence human settlement 2. Explain how physical and human characteristics of a region affect its economic growth..

Power Point Presentation

My PowerPoint Presentation represents a geography presentation for students enrolled in geography of the US and Canada. In order to meet the objectives of the lesson I felt that I should have a combination of text/explanation in tandem with photos of the specific subjects. In addition, I included key geographic terms which the students should be familiar with in their continued study of geography.

I fell that making the PowerPoint presentation presents key details for my students along with illustrations which will increase their interest and hopefully their knowledge. Hope you enjoy my PowerPoint of the Geography of the Ohio River.

PodCast Blog

I utilized the Audacity program to complete my podcast. The podcast creation took me some time, but the Audacity tutorial was very effective and allowed me to finally achieve a product. I registered to a site that allowed me to upload my podcast. This program is called Switchpod, which allowed me to keep it in the mp3 format. I uploaded my script to google docs.
